Arturo Castro Nogueras, draws on a rich cultural background that spans his diverse heritage. The son of two pianists and of Cuban, Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, the guitarist Arturo Castro Nogueras has performed extensively across Europe, Africa and the Americas, including sold – out at the Düsseldorf Festival, Reading Fringe Festival in the U.K., Mexico City´s National Art Museum, St. Donatus Festival, Croacia, Iberoamerican Institute in Berlin, among others, featuring Mexican and Caribbean contemporary and classical music.

Arturo Castro Nogueras holds a Bachelor's degree in Music with a major in Guitar from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico under the tutelage of distinguished Puerto Rican maestro Leonardo Egúrbida and a Master's degree in Guitar and Early Music from the Robert Schumann Conservatory in Düsseldorf under the tutelage of famed guitarist and composer Joaquín Clerch, and pianist and harpsichordist Anthony Spiri. In 2016 he graduated with distinction from the Konzertexamen excellence programme at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Prof. Clerch's class.

Recent performances include solo performances with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico, Neue Philarmonie Westfalen, Germany; Aldworth Philarmonic Orchestra in the U.K., Camerata Santiago de Querétaro and INJUVE Orchestra in Mexico; Orquesta Ciudad de Palencia, Spain; the Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra in England; Neue Philharmonie Westfalen in Germany, Orquesta Ciudad de Palencia in Spain, Camerata Santiago de Querétaro and the Orquesta Sinfónica del INJUVE in Mexico City.

Also recitals in Cologne, broadcasted live on WDR3; Belgrade, Bucharest, Washington DC, Granada, Lagos, Tirana, Havana, San Juan, Viena, Mexico City, Paris, Berlin, as well as interviews for international radio and television stations such as Deutsche Welle, Radio France International and the BBC.

He successfully performed presenting musical and interdisciplinary projects with visual art and sound installation, solo and with different ensembles. He received from the city of Düsseldorf, Germany, the Förderpreis für Musik, awarded to outstanding young artists in the field of the arts.

The premiere of his work 3 / 4 in 2014, a collaboration featuring dance, music and visual arts, was part of Germany's oldest art exhibition Die Grosse, in the Kunstpalast Museum in Düsseldorf. In the same year, he presented with Guatemalan writer Tania Hernandez a performance called La Llorona in Frankfurt am Main, since then he has collaborated actively with Puerto Rican neuroscientist Christian Bravo in a series of concert-conferences about the relationship between our brain and music, as well as motivational talks about music and art in Puerto Rico and Mexico inspiring younger generations.

Arturo is also active in interdisciplinary and social-educational projects presenting lectures-concerts on music as an instrument of intercultural dialogue working with the Diplomatische Akademie in Vienna, Zentralrat der Juden, Germany, Movimiento No Mafia, Sicily, Instituto de la Juventud, Mexico City, Conservatorio de Música, Puerto Rico, Conservatorio Nacional de Música, Paraguay, Fundación Kabawil, Germany, Universidad Nacional de Música, Peru, Goethe Institute, Nigeria, among others.
